ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Leila Bilick.

Welcome! I am a poet, poetry educator, and book editor. In other words, a lover of all things language and literature. I would love to meet you and to work with you and your creativity. Learn more about my offerings below.

My poetry has been published in a variety of literary magazines, such as Two Thirds North, Lilith Magazine, American Literary Review, and Soundings East. In 2024, my manuscript was selected as a longlist honoree for the Dzanc Poetry Prize.
I earned a BA in English and American Literature from Brandeis University and an MA in English from UMass Boston. I have more than a decade of writing and editing experience in the nonprofit sector. I live in Los Angeles with my two daughters.

"Leila skillfully guided me as I worked on tonal variation and voice in my short stories. She respected my work and made nonjudgmental edits and suggestions, qualities I find so important in an editor. With her support and insights, I now have a cohesive collection!"
